Part 8
Septic permits, town by town
Basswood Septics installs septic systems for cottages, rural homes and waterfront lots in Algoma.
In the District of Algoma, Algoma Public Health issues sewage system permits under Part 8 of the Ontario Building Code for systems up to 10,000 litres a day. We work with Algoma Public Health on permits. Larger or shared systems go to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. The house itself still needs a building permit from your township.
